Writer Joe Fuller Joins the Judging Panel

We're excited to announce that writer Joe Fuller has joined the judging panel for our 2020 competition in the Screenplay category! Joe is a graduate of creative writing and film correspondent for BillboardTV, as well as being an avid writer and film buff. His writing has been published in numerous anthologies, with his short story ’The Beekeeper’ winning 2nd place in the 2016 International Literary Prize.

Hammond House team member Alex recently spoke to him about what he wanted to see from entrants into the 2020 competition.

As a judge, what are you looking for in a screenplay? I am looking for something original, unique and daring. Something a little weird and out there but also easy to piece together in a compelling and minimalist script.

What advice would you give to people entering the 2020 competition?
