[Update] Announcement Dates • 2020 Competition

The quality of submissions this year has been tremendous, and the Hammond House judges have been delighted and overwhelmed by the hugely diverse range of short stories, poetry and screenplays. Ranging from terrifying post-apocalyptic fantasies to eye-opening contemporary fiction, this year's entries have been thrilling, funny, daring and moving.

2020 has been a hard year for writers and creative people all across the world, which makes this achievement even more extraordinary.

We're excited to reveal the following announcement dates:

Shortlisted Entries Announced

Saturday 19th December at 7pm

You can watch a special programme revealing the shortlisted entries in all three categories at 7pm on Billboard TV.

Winning Entries Announced

Sunday 20th December at 7pm

You can see the winning entries in all three categories announced live on BillboardTV's December episode at 7pm.

All results will also be available to view on the website.
