MEET THE JUDGES of our 2022 Hammond House Publishing International Literary Prize

Tyrolin Puxty is one of the judges of our Songwriting category for our 2022 International Literary Prize.

Tyrolin has been in the Top 10 of the Australian Songwriters Association and Top 5 of the Australian Independent Music Awards and was awarded an Australia Day Award for Music in 2014 and for Arts in 2015 and 2017.

Tyrolin achieved 2nd place in our Songwriting/Performed Song category in our 2021 Hammond House Publishing International Literary Prize. Her song 'Hero' won 2nd place in the Songwriting - Performed Song category and her other song 'Sweet Lullabies' was Highly Commended.

After leaving her job as a paralegal and Justice of the Peace, Tyrolin started up a performing arts school where many of her students have graduated and gone on to work in the music industry, appearing on TV shows such as The Voice.

She was also selected as a semi-finalist in the Imagine Impact program and is a bestselling and award-winning author.

With a bizarre imagination, Tyrolin will always consider herself a writer, but she loves to act, dance, sing and eat chocolate.

Commenting on this year's competition, Tyrolin told us:

"It's been an honour to hear the words the entrants have created through music and lyrics. Art, through any format, is truly inspiring as it gives us a glimpse into the creator's soul. Thank you Hammond House Publishing for inviting me to judge and giving me the opportunity, privilege and pleasure to hear songs and voices I otherwise wouldn't have."

* The 2022 Hammond House Publishing International Literary Prize shortlisted entries will be announced on our website on 4th December and winners announced on 11th December 2022 on Billboard TV.
