The Literary Lonely project began in 1999 with the aim of forming new writer’s groups throughout Lincolnshire where experienced writers and those new to writing could exchange ideas, develop their skills and share their experiences and love of writing. The project assisted professional development for those who chose writing as a career or serious pastime and provided an opportunity for lonely and isolated people to gain a new sense of purpose and make new friends who shared their interest in writing. Many who embraced writing to overcame challenges in their lives went on to enjoy success in prestigious writing competitions and become published authors.
