Congratulations to Tyrolin Puxty from Australia for achieving 2nd place in our Songwriting/Performed Song category in our 2021 Hammond House Publishing International Literary Prize.

Tyrolin's song 'Hero' won 2nd place in the Songwriting - Performed Song category and her other song 'Sweet Lullabies' was Highly Commended.

Sponsored by the University Centre Grimsby, prizes will be awarded at our annual literary festival to be held on 9th February 2022 - the theme for our 2022 International Literary Prize will also be announced.

Tyrolin Puxty has been in the Top 10 of the Australian Songwriters Association and Top 5 of the Australian Independent Music Awards and was awarded an Australia Day Award for Music in 2014 and for Arts in 2015 and 2017. After leaving her job as a paralegal and Justice of the Peace, Tyrolin started up a performing arts school where many of her students have graduated and gone on to work in the music industry.

In 2015, Tyrolin published Broken Dolls, which became an internationally #1 bestselling novel and appeared on Buzzfeed's Top 25 Best Books of 2015.

With a bizarre imagination, Tyrolin will always consider herself a writer, but she loves to act, dance, sing and eat chocolate.
