2nd Place in the Scriptwriting category of our 2022 International Literary Prize: Elizabeth Carroll

2nd Place in the Scriptwriting/Screenplay category of our 2022 Hammond House Publishing International Literary Prize (awarded by the University Centre Grimsby) is 'The Cord' by Elizabeth Carroll from the UK.

Liz has been scribbling most of her life and believes that story telling in all its forms is a vital human activity. She began to to take script writing seriously when she joined Progress Theatre, Reading twenty years ago.

She has had short plays performed in twelve of their annual Writefest productions plus a longer length play in Progress Premieres. Liz appreciates the encouragement and robust feedback she has received from Reading Playwrights and Writers Inc, Basingstoke.

Liz is currently exploring the world of short stories and flash fiction.

Winners and shortlisted entries in the short story, poetry and song lyrics categories will be published in the 2023 Hammond House Publishing anthologies to be launched at our annual Literary Festival on 22nd February 2023 at the University Centre Grimsby.
