Survival: A Lockdown Collaboration

The tremendous response to our Staying Home competition was due in no small part to the theme song composed by Yorkshire-based singer/songwriter Rachel Makena. And now – with just a pocketful of lyrics from Ted Stanley – Rachel had composed, performed and produced this inspiring theme song for our 2020 International Literary Prize. The accompanying video was produced in collaboration with Hammond House filmmaker Alex Thompson.
The three artists who collaborated on the song had their own interpretations, leading to a finished product that was taken in a very unique direction. We hope the entrants to this year's competition take the theme of Survival in some equally novel directions.
