Staying Home: One Week Remaining

Where has the time gone? We're now one week away from the deadline of our free 500-word competition, Staying Home. Writers from all across the world have shared their wonderful stories with us, and our judges are excited to begin reading them all. But it's not over yet – there's still time to get your entries in by midnight on June 8th.

Writing is not only proven to be beneficial and therapeutic, but writers are in a unique position to record the current crisis in a unique way, to be shared with future generations. Our challenge for you is to write a 500-word short story about the current COVID-19 crisis – whether you write about your own experiences or fictional experiences, that's up to you.

All shortlisted entries will be uploaded to the website and the top 3 winners will be published in the Survival short story anthology, due to be released early in 2021.

Find out more information about the competition and how to submit your story here.

And don't forget, the 2020 International Literary Competition is now open. With the theme of Survival, and the chances to win cash prizes and worldwide publication, it's looking to be our most popular competition yet. Find out more here.
