RUTH LIDDEMORE

An established writer and prolific poet, Ruth finds inspiration everywhere in and around her North Lincolnshire home, whether walking and cycling in the local countryside or pottering about in her country cottage garden.

Some of her most popular poems include Nursery, Easter and the I am series, inspired by the surreal and polyphonic elements in Tomaz Salamun’s  poem History.  She also counts Frank O'Hara and John Ashbery as influences on her work, which tends to view the world from different and unusual angles.

Ruth’s odd sense of humour is also apparent in two short stories. Toby and Simply the Best,  due for publication later this year. If you consider yourself a little bit quirky and enjoy viewing the world from unusual and refreshing perspectives, you’ll love reading Ruth.
