Tanya is a social worker and writer from Bromley, Kent.

 

In her writing she has an interest in representing voices that might otherwise be marginalised or silenced, a passion which clearly relates to her professional experience of working with children and families in challenging circumstances. She also draws on her extensive travel experiences to show a diverse range of settings. 

 

Themes in her writing are often discovering identity, and the difficulties in communicating and forming relationships. Tanya has previously had poetry published, but has now returned to fiction, which was her first love. 

 

This year she will complete an MA Creative Writing and she has written a collection of short stories.  She is also currently working on her first novel.
